Are you looking for a friendly group of people to sing with? Whether you're new to singing, an experienced singer, or just fancy having a go, why not try us out!

Nantwich Choral Society is one of the largest and most successful amateur choirs in the South Cheshire / North Shropshire area. We currently have over 100 members, drawn mainly from Nantwich and the surrounding villages, but some travel from towns up to 20 miles away - such is the appeal of NCS.

As well as the high standard of singing, NCS is famous for its warm welcome and friendly atmosphere and we are always pleased to see new singers walking through the door. Rehearsals take place in the Methodist Church on Hospital Street, Nantwich on a Wednesday evening between September and June, with breaks for Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals start at 7:30 prompt and last for about 2 hours.

There are no auditions and for new singers the first term is free! This gives an opportunity for the Musical Director to assess if the new singer is fitting in, but more importantly for the new singer to decide if they like singing with us. They usually do! And then they'll be invited to become a fully paid-up member in the following term. The only other financial commitment is that we ask all members to buy their own copy of "Handel's Messiah" (Watkins Shaw edition) - something that we sing quite regularly and "100 Carols for Choirs" (Willcocks/Rutter - pub. OUP) for the Christmas Concerts.

So why not join us?
